Well it looks like we made the right decision fleeing from Halifax, Earl has passed us way to the east and is currently quite a way north on it's way to PEI. Well, they always say discretion is the better part of valor, and they must be right. This morning Marilyn's discretion over-ruled my valor and we decided to flee the path of EARL! Took a look at our trusty map trying to put ourselves as far out of the projected path and still be close to see the rest of the things on our list, and came up with Grand Falls, New Brunswick. ... So 2 gas stops, one Tim Horton's break, and 635 K later we are in the Spring Water RV park just outside of Grand Falls. ...

We woke up to a positively lovely morning; the sun was actually shining brightly, a sight we haven’t seen in a while. So, we got on the road about 10 o’clock bound for Grand Falls, New Brunswick, about 120 miles away. ... It was reasonably nice countryside, very rural and mostly agricultural, but it was difficult to enjoy it because of long stretches of road construction…requiring paying close attention to navigating over the really compressed and narrow lanes.We woke up to a positively lovely morning; the sun was actually shining brightly, a sight we haven’t seen in a while. Day 140 Saturday 30th September Grand Falls NB pg 126 F 3 This morning Steve decided to top up the oil, and then realised he’d added transmission oil by mistake; hence we needed to find somewhere to do a complete oil change. ... 15th July, 2008 Our plan from Petite Lameque was to head to a town called Riviere-du-Loup (translation – Wolf River) just across the border into Quebec. The nearest town with a dealership was Grand Falls which was about 70kms away, so with no other choice, we crawled along the highway with the hazards flashing, sitting on about 3000rpm and keeping a keen eye on the temp gauge. ...
