Well, I was on call today, and a busy day it was too, with Claire, one of our nurses going home, and us all saying goodbye to the longest in-patient at sea ever I suspect! Our patient who had been with us in the medical centre for 10 days was finally disembarked to hospital in Auckland. I think he was sorry to leave us in the end, and we were a little sad to see him go - if not a bit relieved, as we are all so tired!!!
Anyway, the day ended well with a barbeque on the crew deck by the wardroom, as we sailed our of Auckland haarbour. Very nice way to end a busy day.
